Huggins: Bigs Deficient In WVU's Defeat

West Virginia's 22 missed shots in the paint, including 11 lay-ups, were compounded by a lack of defensive execution by Devin Williams and Jonathan Holton, among others, in the 87-69 loss to Baylor. Here, head coach Bob Huggins dissects the interior issues, gives his perspective on the pressure and discusses what tweaks to WVU's approach are needed entering the final eight Big 12 games.

Huggins, who punctuated his postgame comments by noting that he thought the Mountaineers were "going to be all right," was clearly disappointed in the failure to finish around the rim, defend well on the interior and get proper positioning and location within the press that has now been soundly snapped by consecutive foes in Oklahoma and Baylor. Huggins also spoke to the poise and pride of his past teams, and the aspects of that this team might better emulate in the latter few weeks of the season.
