Huggins Previews WVU-Kansas State

West Virginia ran into a trifecta of misery in its last two defeats, with opponents hitting shots while the Mountaineer press hit the wall and WVU itself failed to hit the proverbial broadside of a barn, even from within the paint. Here, head coach Bob Huggins addresses those issues and more in comments leading up to Wednesday's home contest with Kansas State.

The Mountaineers, 18-5 overall and in a jumbled middle of the pack in the Big 12 at 6-4, face arguably their most imperative game in a slate that's full of them. With looming road trips to No. 14 Iowa State and Oklahoma State combined with two games left against national power Kansas and one each versus Baylor and Texas, one could reasonably argue the Wildcats represent the easiest opportunity for a victory over WVU's final eight games. But, as Huggins notes below, the Mountaineers have struggled with varying aspects, from finishing near the rim to turning the ball over themselves.
