VIDEO: More player reaction from WVU's win

In the absence of senior guards Juwan Staten and Gary Browne, several of West Virginia's role players have been looked at to step up in more situations than usual.

Two of those reserves who stepped up in their minutes they were given in West Virginia's regular season home finale against Oklahoma State Saturday were guard Tarik Phillip and forward Elijah Macon.

With Staten and Browne sidelined and freshman Jevon Carter on the bench with foul trouble in the first half, the Mountaineers turned to Phillip to run the point for large parts of the game and the sophomore stepped up and accepted the challenge.

Meanwhile, Macon continued his steady play as a reliable option for WVU to bring off the bench whenever one of the West Virginia big men need a breather.
