WVU Player Reaction - Backcourt Play

The end-result was the same, but the game played far different as West Virginia dropped an 80-70 loss to Baylor in the Big 12 Championship. Here, the trio of Jevon Carter, Daxter Miles and Juwan Staten talk about the loss.

First Carter, who played a solid game in handling the point guard duties in place of the injured Juwan Staten and Gary Browne, talks about the late turnovers, his play, the officiating that led to another huge discrepancy in free throws shot between WVU and BU and the Mountaineers' play on the inside.

Miles, below, talks about end-game management, the overall ebb and flow of the contest and his individual play, as well as that of the team as a whole.

And finally Staten speaks to his mentoring aspect, tutoring the guards and how he believed he could affect the game from the sidelines. Staten, who said he would play in WVU's open-round NCAA game, was already drawing up some plays and other sets, trying to teach Tarik Phillip and Brandon Watkins, among others, about passing and ball location.
