Inside WVU's Pro Day

Eleven former West Virginia standouts participated in the school's Pro Day, and some of the numbers were eye-popping.

West Virginia held it's Pro Day, and 12 players (and one participant that did not play for WVU) showed off their skills for the last time in front of multiple scouts. The players whom participated included:

Mario Alford, Ishmael Banks, Michael Calicchio, Cullen Christian, Brandon Golson, Mark Glowinski, Shaq Riddick, Dreamius Smith, Jewone Snow, Quinton Spain, Kevin White, (only participated in positional work) and Doug Rigg.

Kevin White, Mario Alford and Mark Glowinski were the only three WVU players invited to the NFL combine, and Kevin White shined. Alford ran a 4.43 40-yard dash, which is somewhat under-performing for a player that is said to have elite speed. But in front of scouts on his home turf, Alford shined, running a 4.25 dash time. Everyone knew he could run, but scouts were definitely wowed by his improvemnet. Here is his fastest run of the day.

Like the NFL Combine there are several of other drills as well. Here is Alford, White, and Dreamius Smith showing of their hands during positional work. Alford caught all 15 balls thrown his way, while White dropped an over the shoulder ball.

Shaq Riddick had the fastest time (4.28 seconds) of those who took part in the 20-yard shuttle.
