WVU Spring Football: Offense

There are a lot of questions surrounding the WVU offense this year. Who will be starting at the Quarterback position? Will anyone be able to fill Kevin White and Mario Alford's shoes? We get our first look at spring practice with these clips.

Day one of any practice is not going to entail too much, but drills and fundamentals are emphasized. Here quarterbacks are taking snaps and practicing the movements of a read option play - fake the handoff and scrammble outside. Nothing insanely difficult, but something every QB needs to perfect in Holgrosen's offense. From left to right the QBs are Storm McPherson, William Crest, Chris Chugunov, David Sills, Skylar Howard and Austin Hensley.

Several wide wide receivers will need to make moves up the depth chart replace the production lost from White and Alford. Wide receivers coach Lonnie Galloway gives instruction as the wide outs catch the ball and shield it from contact.

The running back position is one of the spots with few question marks. Wendell Smallwood and Rushel Shell are poised to continue their success. RBs assistant coach Ju'Juan Seider works with the players as they go through a basic footwork drill. Shell, Smallwood, Donte Thomas-Williams, Elijah Wellman and Prentice Tillman are shown in the video.
