Mazey Talks Power, Pitching In WVU Victory

West Virginia combined excellent relief pitching and another timely - if not dominant - offensive display in dispatching Charleston Southern 9-2 on Friday. Here, head coach Randy Mazey dissects the win, and the outing of reliver Nick Wernke as he picked up his first career victory.

Mazey, below, was coaching against the school that first employed him as a head coach at age 27, and his current employer picking up first series win in a three-game set largely on the arm of Wernke. Here, Mazey discusses the outing, the line-up heavy with right-handed batters against a lefty starter, Ray Guerrini's movement within the order and a game played in brisk, 32 degree temperatures.
