WNIT Preview: WVU Head Coach Mike Carey

West Virginia makes its second WNIT title game appearance under head coach Mike Carey on Saturday against UCLA. How will the Mountaineers react to the venue change? What's the attitude and approach for the Bruins? And how are the team legs after a pair of overtime games? All that and more in this interview session with Carey.

Carey, below, discusses winning his last game of the season, the effort and individual talent that spurred the Mountaineers to their second NIT championship game in 10 years and how the team has reacted to a couple overtime games in terms of remaining fresh and keeping their legs in every aspect from defense and rebounding to jump shooting. Carey also talks about the home crowd at the Charleston Civic Center, where the game was moved after WVU couldn't host due to an NCAA Regional Gymnastics meet at the Coliseum. The Mountaineers are 9-0 all-time in the NIT at home, but just 1-2 away from home and 1-2 on neutral courts.
