BGN Video: Seniors Prep For Final Game

West Virginia's seniors know that win or lose, today's WNIT final against UCLA will be the last game of their collegiate careers. Averee Fields and Linda Stepney are approaching the game a bit differently, but both would love nothing more than to cap their careers with an NIT title.

Averee Fields has thought some about the finality of Saturday's WNIT Championship game against UCLA, and noted that even with the tight turnarounds they have been very well prepared, from scouting reports to getting rest. Repeating the "refuse to lose" and "we didn't want the season to end" mantras, Fields views a potential title as the icing on the cake to a very successful Mountaineer career.

Linda Stepney said she will try to put the fact that it is her last college game out of her mind before and during the contest, but that giving her all, no matter the situation, is her goal. With fatigue something of a factor given the rapid pace of games in the tournament, effort might end up being one of the key items that determines the outcome of the championship final.
