Holgorsen talks QB battle

Before his team started spring practice Saturday at Ram Stadium in Shepherdstown, head coach Dana Holgorsen talked about his team's progress up to this point in the spring.

During his press conference, the West Virginia head coach took a look at his team's open quarterback competition. Holgorsen said that, up to this point, it has been the two signal callers who return from last season - junior Skyler Howard and redshirt freshman William Crest - who have stood out the most.

He also talked about running back Wendell Smallwood, who is beginning to look even more like former WVU running back Charles Sims.
