Mazey, Players Review Sweep, Umpire Ruling

GRANVILLE, W.Va. – West Virginia got a solid outing from starter Chad Donato, but was hurt by an even stronger TCU staff and several questionable calls by the umpiring crew. Here, head coach Randy Mazey and the battery review the sweep - and the decisions and rulings.

First, Mazey details the events that surrounded his ejection, then delves into the start by Donato, TCU's exceptional pitching the entire series and season, and his hopes and expectations for the final two series and Tuesday's game at Virginia Tech.

Guerrini, right in the middle of the ejection and the called 90 second rule violation by WVU before the top of the fourth inning, discusses what he was told by the umpires, and dissects the start of Donato, who had arguably his best breaking stuff of the season.

Donato, below, speaks on his outing, the lack of run support and his mental approach after a tough missed third strike call eventually led to a run. He also talks about trying to match a TCU starter in Alex Young who would b the staff ace for any other Big 12 team.
