Wesco Makes Expected WVU Call

West Virginia continued to mine a very fertile recruiting ground when it received the commitment of Lackawanna College tight end Trevon Wesco

Wesco, long a WVU lean, became the second commitment for the Mountaineers this week, and the tenth in the Class of 2016 after a visit to campus on Thursday.

Formerly a wide receiver, Wesco has grown into the tight end position for the Falcons, and now stands at 6-4 and 250 lbs. He appears perfectly sized to step into the role now held by Cody Clay and Elijah Wellman.

A native of Gerradstown, W. Va., Wesco attended Musselman High School before moving on to Lackawanna. He caught five passes for 47 yards in 2014.

Wesco is the fifth offensive player in the class to date.
