Huggins Dissects WVU Summer Trip

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The primary on court team-building for this West Virginia basketball team won't come during the three-game set of contests in the Bahamas in the upcoming summer trip. Instead, the main components will be better developed during the practice sessions leading up to the excursion, says head coach Bob Huggins.

Huggins said he wasn't sure of the level of competition, and that the focus is essentially on teaching the newcomers how the Mountaineers practice while getting the veterans back into the grind that is the daily toil for a squad coming off a Sweet 16 season. Huggins, below, also speaks to his expectations of the trip, and the vast differences between playing at the major collegiate level and that of high school. Huggins also, as he's prone to do, waxes a bit poetic on being a West Virginian and rooting for the Mountaineers.
