WVU Assistants Searching For Quality Depth

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia's assistant coaches have readied for the first day of full contact drills. Here, defensive coordinator Tony Gibson looks back on the first few days of camp, and cornerbacks coach Brian Mitchell explains the benefits of working with a veteran secondary and offensive graduate assistant Dan Gerberry details WVU's tight end group.

Here Brian Mitchell speaks to the versatility of safety Karl Joseph in man coverage and blitz situations and explained the difference between the Mountaineer secondary when he first came to WVU and where it is now.

Gerberry, who worked as the tight ends coach at Youngstown State before coming to West Virginia, talks about the contributions of senior Cody Clay as a leader and explains how the coaches he has worked with in the past have molded his philosophy.

Defensive coordinator Tony Gibson notes that despite WVU's depth on defense, there are plenty of position battles to figure out over the course of camp and talks about how the secondary can improve.
