Dillon, Worley, Preston talk WVU defense

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - WVU defensive veterans KJ Dillon and Daryl Worley assess the team's progress through camp so far. Worley talks about his progress from his freshman season leading up to now, Dillon breaks down his favorite one-one-one match-ups in camp and sophomore Xavier Preston discusses the adjustments he made during his freshman year.

Below, senior safety K.J. Dillon talks about fall camp's early standouts an his favorite one-on-one match-ups on the team. From his comments, it seems slot receiver Jordan Thompson has been giving the defense fits with his speed and elusiveness.

In WVU's first few years in the Big 12, the Mountaineer defense was manned by players who lacked experience and were learning on the fly. One of those players was cornerback Daryl Worley, who talks about his growth as a player over the last two seasons in this video.

With the experience WVU has on its defense now, it might be hard for younger players to break through and find meaningful reps this season. Sophomore linebacker Xavier Preston talks about the adjustments he made during his freshman year and how he is learning from the veterans ahead of him on the depth chart.
