West Virginia Tries To Start Nonconference Play 7-0 This Weekend Against Kennesaw State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Daxter Miles and Devin Williams have been around since the re-birth of Huggin's press, and are only now starting to understand its potential. Both starters touch on their adaptation to the press, and how the team plans to get better with some tough teams looming ahead.

Devin Williams has become the de facto leader for this season's squad. He touched on him stepping into that role, and gave his thoughts about their strong start to the season. Williams gives some insight to how he's understanding the press more and more, and why that'll be effective down the road. Willams was named the Las Vegas Tournament MVP, and is averaging a double-double this season (17.5 ppg, 11.0 rpg) If West Virginia is in the hunt for another run at a Sweet Sixteen (or deeper), than Williams will have to continue progressing in Huggin's system.

Daxter Miles said the team needs to "do what they do" before they do battle with Kennesaw State on Saturday and Virginia on Tuesday. It goes without saying this is West Virginia's biggest turnaround yet this season. Miles discussed what the team is doing to stay prepared, and why their ruthless defense is frustrating teams this season.
