West Virginia Fell Prey to a Trap Game in its First of Five Home Games This Week.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia fell to 12-9 on the season after dropping the first of a five game home stint; losing to Canisius 7-5 in 10 innings tonight.

In the video above, West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Randy Mazey details the critical elements of his team's 7-5 extra inning loss at home against Canisius. Mazey said his team fell victim to the thing that makes coaches lose sleep at night: A trap game. Despite what appeared to be an inferior opponent and ample opportunities to come out on top, West Virginia dropped a critical game that could do serious damage to its postseason hopes.
