WVU Gets One Vote in AP Poll

West Virginia received one vote in the preseason AP college football poll, which underlined the difficulty of the Mountaineers' schedule.

Once again, five WVU opponents were rated in the Top 25. Number three Miami (1,484 points), number nine Virginia Tech (1,046) and number ten Pitt (952) all cracked the Top Ten. Also in the poll are 15-ranked Maryland (705) and 21st rated Wisconsin (350. Conference opponent Boston College also received two votes.

The AP poll backed up the recent ESPN USA Today Coaches poll, where the same five teams were included in the Top 25.
