Kentucky Guard Taveion Hollingsworth Shares Reactions to West Virginia Visit

WVU hosted several basketball prospects this past weekend. Among them was a 2017 guard who had a strong reaction to his visit.

Lexington, Kentucky basketball recruit Taveion Hollingsworth, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound shooting guard from Laurence Dunbar High School, took an official visit to West Virginia this past weekend. The trip left the 2017 prospect raving about his time in Morgantown.

“It went great, I loved it!” Hollingsworth said. “I was there the whole weekend. The football game went well too.”

Hollingsworth said he spent time with members of the current Mountaineer basketball team, and got to tour the campus with coaches. That included a pre-game stop on the football field, where the Mountaineers hosted Youngstown State.

“I hung out with most of the (players). They made me feel like I was at home already. Coach Everhart showed me around (the campus),” he said. "I just thought it was great all around.”

Hollingsworth doesn’t have a top schools list right now. He has offers from St. Louis, Murray State, Coastal Carolina, Wright State, and Wintrhop, among others. West Virginia is obviously interested, and as are Xavier, Indiana and Georgia.

As a junior last season, Hollingsworth was the MVP of the Kentucky Sweet 16 High School basketball tournament which is held, coincidentally, at Rupp Arena.
