Played for coach Scott Strohmeier at Iowa Western Community College. Team finished with a 6-6 record in 2016. Recorded 40 total tackles, including 27 solo stops and 1.5 tackles for loss in 2016. Finished the season with 36 receptions for 480 yards and eight touchdowns. Recorded two touchdown receptions against Victor Valley (9/3) and Long Beach (11/5). Helped team to a combined 19-2 record during the 2015 and 2016 seasons, a 2016 MACJC Championship and a win in the 2016 Mississippi Bowl. Finished sophomore (2016) season with 35 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 10 games. Played in eight games as a freshman (2015), making nine tackles with two pass breakups. Played for coach Henry Johnson at Clarksdale High. Made 51 tackles with 11 tackles for loss, five sacks and nine quarterback hurries as a senior. Collected 17 tackles and one sack as a junior.
Returns to West Virginia after playing one season for coach Gifford Lindheim at El Camino College. Completed 127-of-237 passes for 1,636 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2016. Rushed for 258 yards on 96 carries with five touchdowns. Went 20-of-29 for 248 passing yards and four touchdowns against Bakersfield. Southern California Football Association All-Central League Second Team (2016). Became a key member of the receiving corps in the second half of his freshman season at West Virginia in 2015. Finished with seven catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns in seven games Caught the game-winning touchdown on a 15-yard reception with 2:19 remaining against Arizona State in the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl. Previously coached by Dwayne Thomas at Eastern Christian Academy. Played three games in 2014 before breaking his ankle and missing the remainder of the season. Completed 38-of-74 passes for 594 yards and seven touchdowns. Ran for 203 yards on 34 carries and six touchdowns. Paved the way for the offense to average 238.6 yards per game on the ground, including 326 yards per game in the final three contests.
