West Virginia Rolls Through Its Open Session In Prep For Gonzaga In The Sweet 16

SAN JOSE, Calif. - More views from West Virginia's practice inside the SAP Center here Wednesday as the Mountaineers ready for Gonzaga in an NCAA Tournament West Region semifinal match-up tonight.

The Mountaineers pushed both the pace and a lot of shots up in their 50-minute Sweet 16 session. In a forwards and centers shootaround, above, WVU gets up jumpers from the short and midrange, as well as working on hooks, drop steps and other moves from the low block. Nate Adkins and Elijah Macon also step outside to test their long range shooting - in Macon's case a touch too far - while Sags Konate works the bank from just beyond the paint.

Below, West Virginia breaks its huddle, and is cheered by the 3,000-plus underprivileged children in the stands who were bused in to watch the open practice sessions and given lunch by the San Jose Sports Authority.
