Chicago (IL) Marist tight end T.J. Ivy named West Virginia to his top four this evening, with the Mountaineers joining Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa.
Ivy, ranked as the nation's No. 39 tight end by Scout Recruiting, held over twenty offers before this cut, although he did state that his recruitment was still "open" to other programs. The lead recruiter for the Mountaineers is offensive coordinator Jake Spavital, who visited Ivy earlier this spring evaluation period. Ivy has also given a lot of credit for his interest in West Virginia to new offensive analyst Dan Gerberry, who worked with tight ends during his previous stint as a graduate assistant with the Mountaineers.
