Both of McLee's uncles played football for WVU at Old Mountianeer Field in the 1970s - Reggie at running back and William at linebacker.
McLee's father was a standout running back at Georgia where he rushed for more than 1000 yards.
McLee was at WVU's summer football camp, where he impressed at a linebacker spot during team defensive drills. Despite a stocky build, the 6-2, 240 pound McLee moves very well, which opens up several position possibilities for him.
In basketball, FansOnly.com is reporting that point guard Darryl Hill has verbally committed to WVU. Hill (5-10, 175) is originally from Cardozo High School in Bayside, New York, and played this past season at Milford Academy in Connecticut.
Milford is a prep school hotbed for Division 1 talent in both football and basketball. This past season, Hill averaged more than 26 points per game.
