Wilson Shares Big East Honor

Quincy Wilson said he wasn't tired after his 40 carry day against Rutgers, and that strength and stamina was enough to carry him to a Big East Player of the Week nod.

Wilson, along with Boston College quarterback Quinton Porter was been named a BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week today.

Wilson (Weirton, W. Va.) rushed a career-best 40 times for 177 yards in West Virginia's 34-19 victory over Rutgers. The senior running back scored three touchdowns, crossing the goal line on a 20-yard run to open the scoring before adding two four-yard TDs.

The three touchdowns were a career best, as he finished with 4.4 yards per carry. Wilson's yardage total was the second-highest of his career. He is averaging 105.3 rushing yards, a mark that is 17th nationally.
