No National TV Slots For Mountaineer Hoops

Fans wishing to check out the rebuilding Mountaineer basketball program will have to attend many games in person, as WVU only garnered three slots on the first round of announced television games.

West Virginia did not get any appearances on CBS, ABC, ESPN or ESPN2, according to the prelimiary tube schedule released by the Big East conference.

The Mountaineers do have three Saturday games scheduled for broadcast as the Big East Game of the Week. Those contests include the January 10 home clash with Georgetown, a Valentine's Day faceoff with Villanova at the Coliseum, and the Mountaineers February 28 trip to Virginia Tech (where WVU will be going for their second consecutive football/basketball sweep of the Hokies).

More games, especially league games, are expected to be televised in WVU's local market, but no announcements have been made on those times as yet.
