Ohio Linebacker Adds Name to List

An Ohio linebacker from a highly respected program is West Virginia's latest verbal commitment.

Chad Mayse, a 6-2, 225 pound linebacker form Mentor High School has committed to the Mountaineers.

Mayse could play any of the linebacker spots in West Virginia's 3-3-5 defense, and is a well-rounded player who is good against both the run and the pass.

As a junior, Mayse had 83 tackles, nine sacks, nine quarterback pressures, five knockdowns, two tackles for losses and two interceptions. He was named to the Cleveland The Plain Dealer's First Team Defense, and also earned second team Northeast Ohio honors.
