Another Double Dip of Awards

Senior Brian King and sophomore Adam Jones snared two more Big East awards for their play in the Mountaineers' 35-28 win over Boston College.

King (Damascus, Md.) garners defensive accolades for the second time in three weeks after West Virginia's 35-28 win at Boston College. The senior safety had two interceptions for 12 yards, the second time this year he has had two pickoffs in a game. He also recorded eight tackles (seven solo), with two pass break-ups. King has five interceptions in his last three games. He is the 16th player in WVU history to have at least five in a season and also has a school-record 46 pass deflections in his career.

Jones (College Park, Ga.) recorded the eventual game-winning touchdown in the Mountaineer victory. After BC had pulled to within seven points midway through the fourth quarter, the sophomore returned a kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown for the final WVU points. Jones finished with three returns for 111 yards, a 37.0-yard average. It was the first Mountaineer kickoff return for a TD since 2001. Jones also scored on defense, posting a 49-yard interception return for a touchdown.
