Players of the Game - Pitt

Fittingly, a pair of seniors came up big to earn our player of the game honors in the Backyard Brawl.

Superback Quincy Wilson lived up to his "Weirton Steel" tag by running for 208 yards on 34 carries to power the Mountaineer rushing game and earn our offensive selection. Wilson averaged 6.1 yards per carry and scored four touchdowns in the Mountaineers' backyard beatdown of the Panthers.

Despite running against a stacekd defense, Wilson repeatedly found creases for sizeable gains, and capped off most of his runs with bone-crunching hits that added extra yardage to his total.

Lance Frazier
On the defensive side of the ball, cornerback Lance Frazier gets our nod depsite having to suqre off against superstar wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Frazier battled the Panther standout throughout the game, and came up with several big plays to turn the game in the Mountaineers' favor.

Frazier had a 72 yard putn return that set up one Mountianeer score, returned a pass interception for another 27 yards and a fourth quarter score to ice the game, and forced a fumble with a thunderous hit on Pitt running back Jawan Walker.

Frazier was credited with six tackles, and also had a pass deflection during the big win.
