Henry Shares Conference Award

Chris Henry grabed the first of what figures to be several conference awards when he was named co-offensive player of the week by the Big East on Monday.

Henry (Belle Chasse, La.) had a school-record 209 receiving yards in the Mountaineers' 34-23 win at Syracuse. The sophomore wide receiver amassed his total on six receptions, recording 34.8 yards per catch. He had touchdowns of 67 and 24 yards, with both coming on third down. The receiving yardage was the best in the Big East this season and is ninth on the all-time conference list. Henry has four 100-yard games in 2003 and nine touchdowns.

Henry is on pace to break WVU's season yards per catch mark, which is currently held by Rich Hollins.
