Men's Soccer Tramples Herd

The Mountaineer men's soccer team reclaimed the Gold Boot, emblematic of soccer supremacy in the state, by blanking Marshall 3-0 on Wednesday at the WVU soccer complex.

Mountaineer standout Chin Orih opened the scoring at the 30:10 mark of the first period by goaling off an assist from Jason Hillenbrand and Nick Burke. Orih then helped stake WVU a 2-0 lead at the break by assisting on a goal by Roberto D'Uilsse. Nike Burke recorded his second assist of the game on the play. D'Uilsse's goal came just before the end of the period at the 44:47 mark.

In the second period, Nick Burke added an insurance goal off an assist by Chris McKinney and Jason Hillenbrand.

WVU goalkeeper Chris McKinney was flawless throughout, and recorded the shutout with four saves.
