Schifino was a sizzling 10-16 from the floor after halftime, and hit three of his five three-point attempts as West Virginia rang up 50 points to send the game into overtime.
Schifino hit big shots of every stripe. His last three pointer of the game tied the score at 75 with less than a minute to go in the contest, and then his hanging, fadeaway jumper in the lane gave the Mountaineers a five point lead in overtime that proved too much for the Dukes to overcome.
Schifino also had a stellar defensive play in overtime, blocking a jump shot by Jimmy Tricco with just 29 seconds to play and the Mountaineers up by three.
For the game, the Pittsburgh native was 11-18 from the field adn 4-7 from the free throw line. He had three rebounds and one block in 42 minutes of play.
