BlueGoldNews.com Player of the Game - Howard

WVU's big interior presence was the difference in West Virginia's 51-37 win over Howard on Tuesday night.

D'or Fischer recorded his second double double of the season to help the Mountaineers to their low scoring win. Fischer had 12 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots to keep the visiting Bison at bay.

Eight of Fischer's rebounds came on the offensive end, as he continually provided a cold-shooting WVU team with second chances to score points.

Fischer also added a steal in 27 minutes of action, and helped West Virginia's defense hold Howard to 29% shooting from the floor.

Fischer powered WVU's first half effort, scoring six points and grabbing a like number of rebounds in the first half as West Virginia moved out to a nine point advantage at the break. Fischer also had four blocks in the opening period.
