Player of the Game - Notre Dame

WVU's sophomore center came off the bench to lead the Mountaineers in scoring against the Irish.

Kevin Pittsnogle, coming off the bench for the first time in his Mountaineer career, scored 15 points to lead WVU's futile effort against Notre Dame on Wednesday night.

Pittsnogle hit his first shot, a three pointer, and was the only Mountaineer to score in double figures against the Irish. The Martinsburg native hit three of WVU's five three-pointers on the evening, and was the only reason that West Virginia wasn't blown completely out of the Joyce Center.

Pittsnogle hit six of his ten attempts from the floor, and showed a couple of nice moves in the paint to augment his three point shooting. Pittsnogle scored his 15 points in just 13 minutes of action. He also had one rebound and one assist on the evening.
