Player of the Game - St. John's

West Virginia's slashing junior forward continued his strong play as the Mountaineers downed St. John's 73-64 on Wednesday.

Sally, who has been much more aggressive on both ends of the floor in recent weeks, was again a force for West Virginia. The junior forward scored on just about every type of move and shot imaginable, ranging from dunks to three-pointers, as the Mountaineers evened their conference record at 3-3.

Sally scored 24 points, including all of his final six free throws as the Johnnies desperately tried to rally down the stretch. He also recorded back to back dunks in the first half, including a powerful jam in the face of a defender on a fast break, and scored on a variety of slicing moves to the basket as well.

Sally's shooting was stellar, as he hit seven of his eight shots from the field, including two of his three three-point attempts. He added eight of ten shooting from the free throw line for his 24 points. He also had seven rebounds, five steals and two assists, while making several good catches in the open floor as West Virginia battled St. John's full court pressure for much of the game.
