Player of the Game - St. John's

In a game filled with scoring, Patrick Beilein stood out with 19 points in just 23 minutes of action to earn our player of the game honors.

Beilein hit five of his eight three point attempts, and added another field goal along with two free throws for his team leading 19 points. Beilein also had two rebounds and two assists on an evening when the Mountaineers totally outclassed the deleted Red Storm by the scor eo f82-56.

For one of the few times in the past two seasons, West Virginia was never seriously challenged and turned the game into a laugher early on. Led by eight straight points from Tyler Relph, WVU ran out to a ten point lead after a couple of shaky early minutes to leave the visting Johnnies behind.

Five Mountaineers scored in double figures. In addition to Beilein,'s 19, Kevin Pittsnogle scored 14, Joe Herber 13, D'or Fischer 12 and Tyler Relph 11. WVU shot 31 three pointers, hitting 14 for a 45.2% success rate.
