Tyrone Sally just missed a double double, but his play was more than enough to power WVU to a 67-60 win over Villanova.
The junior forward scored twnety points on 6-10 shooting, including a monster dunk that snapped a Villanova run and gave WVU a 51-45 lead with 5:08 to go. On the play, Sally slipped in from his left wing position and threw down a monster jam that gave the Mountaineers the momentum they needed to secure the win.
Sally was almost as big on the boards, grabbing a game-high nine rebounds to pace the WVU effort. He was also a perfect 8-8 from the line in a game when every point was critical.
The Virginia native also added three assists and two steals to his impressive line score.
WVU again was on an assist spree, as they had 16 of them on their 22 made baskets.
