Mountaineer Men Get NIT Invite

West Virginia will get the chance to wash the bitter taste of the last-second loss to Notre Dame out of their mouths after receiving a bid to play Kent State in the National Invitation Tournament.

WVU, currently 15-13, will face the Golden Flashes on the road at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

West Virginia scrimmaged the Golden Flashes in a preseason workout that was closed to the public.

The game will take place at Kent State's Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. The winner of the WVU-Kent State game will play the winner of Boston University-Rhode Island on Friday at a site to be determined.

We'll have more in about an hour on the matchup.
