Mountaineers Down EA Sports

West Virginia used a balanced scoring attack to overwhelm EA Sports 117-80 on Friday night at the WVU Coliseum.

The Mountaineers finished with seven players in double figures, led by freshman Jonathan Hargett's twenty-five markers.

Chris Moss added twenty-two points, followed by Josh Yeager with fourteen and Drew Schifino with thirteen. Tyrone Sally and Lionel Armstead added ten points apiece, while Chaz Briggs contributed a double double with eleven points and ten rebounds.

Dominic Ellison led EA Sports with twenty points.

"Our rotation is coming along, said head coach Gale Catlett following the blowout. "I'm still not eactly sure what it's going to be at the moment, and I'm not sure when we will know it, but it's coming along."

WVU open the season next Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the Coliseum against UNC-Asheville.
