The date for the Syracuse game, also to be nationally televised, will be announced in the next few weeks. The holdup on this game is the Southeastern Conference, which apparently can't make a simple decision as to whether to play on Thursday October 21 or not.
2004 Football Game Times Confirmed
The Mountaineers open the 2004 slate at home on Saturday, September 4, when WVU hosts East Carolina in a 6 p.m. game. The games at Connecticut and Pitt will be nationally televised by ESPN, while the Maryland game will be shown on ESPN2.
