Football Recruiting Update - Brett Green

An outstanding Ohio receiver visited the Mountaineer campus last weekend.

Wide receiver Brett Green of East Liverpool (OH) High School made a visit to West Virginia this past weekend. The speedy Green (6-3, 185) set a school record earlier this year with 160 yards receiving against Beaver Local.

Green shows career totals of 72 receptions for 1,607 yards and 19 touchdowns for the Potters, and looks to be the type of big, physical wide receiver Steve Bird is looking for.

The multi-talented Green, who also plays basketball and performs on the track squad, holds all of East Liverpool's season and career receiving records. Green is also rated by several sources as one of the top point guards in the state of Ohio, and is garnering interest from Division 1 schools in both sports.

Green also earned East Liverpool's Bill Booth Award, which is presented on the basis of Ability, Sportsmanship, Scholastic Standing, Character, and Leadership.
