Women's Hoop Opponents Revealed

West Virginia's women's basketball team, fresh off an NCAA tournament appearance, has announced its schedule for the 2004-05 season.

The 2004-05 slate features 14 home games, 12 away matchups and the annual meeting with Marshall in Charleston.

This season, each BIG EAST team plays five teams twice and six teams once. WVU will play Boston College, Georgetown, Providence, Seton Hall and Villanova both home and awasy. WVU will play league road games at Notre Dame, Rutgers and Pitt and will host three-time defending national champion Connecticut, along with St. John's and Syracuse, at the WVU Coliseum.

In non-conference action at the WVU Coliseum, the Mountaineers play host to UNC-Greensboro, Northwestern, Duquesne, St. Francis, Pa., and Coppin State. In additiona to Marshall, the Mountaineers will face Longwood in Charleston, reportedly as part of a doubleheader with the men, who will face St. Bonaventure.

WVU hits the road to face non-conference foes East Carolina and Texas A&M Corpus-Christi and will face two additional opponents at the Florida International Thanksgiving tournament.

The complete schedule with dates will be announced in September.
