West Virginia ran into a hot shooting James Madison club on Wednesday, and the result was a 91-75 road loss - WVU's first defeat of the season. The Mountaineers are now 4-1.

West Virginia put on their worst defensive performance of the season by far, allowing the Dukes to penetrate the lane at will for close in shots. Duke guard David Fanning led all scorers with 29 points, including 19 in the first half. WVU was crushed on the boards, giving up numerous second shots to the James Madison front line.
