Comings and Goings

Typically, position moves and roster changes come early in fall camp, but that wasn't the case for West Virginia over the past week.

Alphonso Gross, who had already returned home to Alabama once last week, has apparently left the Mountaineer team again, this time for good. Gross was not at practice today.

The defection list was also lengthened by Davanzo Tate, who has also reportedly left the team. Tate, who likewise was not at practice, was running with the third team at cornerback.

In order to bolster the numbers at wide receiver, which has been plagued with injuries, two defensive players moved to offense. Abraham Jones and Jermaine Moye, who had played at the spur and bandit position, both took snaps with the offense on Wednesday.

Eddie Jackson and Miquelle Henderson remained sidelined due to injury problems. Dee Alston did return to the field today.
