Football Set for Midweek Visit

As we informed you last weekend, several players scheduled to visit West Virginia had their trips rescheduled for a variety of reasons. One of those players will instead travel to the WVU campus this week.

Valley Forge's Chris Vincent, a 6-2, 220 pound linebacker from the Philadelphia area, is now scheduled to make a midweek visit to West Virginia.

Vincent could play a variety of positions on defense, including any linebacker or safety spot.

Vincent is a second year player at Valley Forge Military Academy who recently received NCAA Clearinghouse approval after a protracted battle with that bureaucracy. Vincent could be eligible to enroll in the second semester this year.

In other news, several recruiting targets have had visits rescheduled for the weekends of January 11th or 18th.

The current thinking on the strategy of visits is to either get a player in early, to make a good first impression, or last, to get in the last word.

The upcoming weekend figures to be very light, and there may not be any visits at all as the staff returns from a week on the road making in home visits.
