WVU Doubles Up On Awards

For the second straight week, a Mountaineer has captured the Big East Offensive Player of the Week Award.

West Virginia quarterback Rasheed Marshall has been named Big East Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Marshall (Pittsburgh, Pa.) completed 14-of-18 passes for 225 yards in West Virginia's 45-20 win at UCF. The senior quarterback tied a career high with four touchdown passes, connecting on 57, 20, 11 and six-yard scoring tosses. He also had a 17-yard touchdown run, posting 65 yards on the ground on nine carries.

Marshall finished with 16.1 yards per completion and a 77.8 percent pass completion percentage. He moved into a tie for sixth on WVU's career touchdown passes list (31) and also recorded his 11th game with 200 passing yards or more.
