Two Departures

There have been two more reported departures in recent days from the WVU athletic scene.

The first, from the women's basketball team, is freshman guard Marsha Kinder. Kinder, who appeared in five games last season before receiving a medical redshirt, has reportedly left the team for personal reasons that did not involve athletics.

Kinder hails from Bridgewater, Virginia, where she was a star performer for Turner Ashby High School, earning numerous all state honors, including multiple state player of the year awards.

The second, from the football team, is rising junior linebacker Quentin Swain.

Swain (5-11, 230), is not expected to return to WVU for the second semester. The Miami, Florida native, was primarily a special teams performer during his two seasons at West Virginia.
