Another Lineman For Football Recruiting Class

WVU has gone into the bayou for a second try at nabbing a Louisiana lineman.

Craig Wilson, an offensive and defensive lineman from John Curtis Christian High School outside of New Orleans, Louisiana, is WVU football's latest verbal commitment.

At 6-0 and 255 pounds, Wilson could play either defensive end or defensive tackle for West Virginia, depending on what type of scheme the Mountaineers employ in 2002.

Wilson hails from River Ridge, Louisiana, which is just west of New Orleans. John Curtis High School is a 4A power in Louisiana, with 17 state titles to their credit, including a championship win this season over Baker. Wilson recovered a fumble to set up the Patriots' second touchdown in the 30-0 romp.

Wilson participated in a Nike camp this summer, where he recorded the following measurements.

Height: 5-11.5
Weight: 255
20-Yard Shuttle: 4.73
Vertical Jump: 32.0"
Bench Reps: 27
