With 1:42 to play and West Virginia clinging to a slim one-point lead, Fischer took a pass form J.D. Collins and slammed home a dunk to put WVU up by three at 66-63. Fischer next grabbed a rebound of a GW miss, and after a change of possessions hit two free throws with 32 seconds to go to put the Mountaineers up by five. Finally, Fischer hit two game-sealing free throws with six seconds remaining to eliminate all doubt and sned the sellout crowd home happy.
Fischer finished 9-10 from the line, and made three of his six attempts from the field for 15 points. He also added four rebounds, blocked three shots, and snared two steals in 25 minutes of action.
