"It was nice, and I had a good time," Friedman said of his visit to WVU. "I like the coaches and the people I met. The atmosphere was really good."
Part of that atmosphere was experienced at the WVU - St. John's basketball game, which he took in with fellow visitor Jason Gwaltney. Despite the fact that it was his first visit to West Virginia, Friedman was not surprised by what he saw.
"It was about what I expected," said the laconic Friedman. "It was a nice campus - a lot prettier than a lot of schools."
While Friedman has now visited all of his favorites, he's not done with the recruiting process. He plans an official visit to Alabama this weekend, and will likely choose among the Tide, Mountaineers, and Florida Gators.
"I already had WVU pretty high up [before the visit]," Friedman said. "But it did give me a feel for the campus and what it would be like. I'm still just trying to learn everything about the schools."
While Friedman is waiting for offers from other schools, he doesn't plan on stretching things out until the last minute.
"I will probably have some kind of idea in the next week or two," he said of his decision making process. "I don't want to make anyone wait that long."
