Player of the Game - Notre Dame

We had to go a long way down the box score to find a player worthy of game honors against Notre Dame.

Frank Young, the eighth man in the rotation, gets the nod for player of the game in WVU's ugly 70-57 loss to the Irish.

Coming off the bench in the first half to replace lethargic Tyrone Sally, Young scored five points, grabbed three rebounds, and had two assists in 16 minutes of action.

Young helped draw WVU within seven points at the half when he hit a running jumper, then fed Mike Gansey for a drive that resulted in a foul and a free throw. He also played a solid second half, and was one of the few Mountaineers to compete with energy throughout the contest.
